This Week’s Link Roundup #9

Every week millions of interesting links pop up around the Web. Some detail updates and advances in technology, some provide great insight to marketing strategies and tactics, some broaden our knowledge of the world around us, and others are just plain out-there. • Google lets you “disavow” links.
If you use Google’s Webmaster tool, you can see a handful of websites that link to your website. In most cases, these are links you generally approve; however, there are exceptions. If a malicious, spam-ridden site is linking to you and sending false visits, skewing your analytics, you can now tell Google to “disavow” these links.
  • Twenty-one years ago Microsoft introduced a tablet.
Read Write reminds us that 21-years ago, Microsoft debuted its first tablet with handwriting recognition software, gestures and more. You can even watch a video from 1991 that features Bill Gates explaining the tablet.

Author of a blog or online media site? Google wants to rank your posts based on how relevant and popular you, the author, is in addition to all that other good SEO stuff.

  • Amazing Back to the Future costume.
Check out this Back to the Future costume made for the little Marty McFly. It’s half-costume, half-push car that looks like the iconic DeLorean.
